Support for Development Boundaries

posted in: News | 4

It looks like we’re on the right track with the proposed development boundaries for the Parish according to the latest Neighbourhood Development Plan consultation. It’s still important that you get your say on them though and you’ll have a chance to view the development boundaries for each of our villages at a series of Drop-in sessions being organised across the whole Parish in September and October. Watch out for posters and posts here with more information. To read the full results from the consultation click here: 3rd Round Consultation

I have noticed the proposed new development area has decreased on the Carpalla side (East) from previous years, without the landowner being notified.
Please could you let me know if this is still in duscussion, and when the parish council expect to submit their revised development area to Cornwall Council for approval?

    Many thanks

Hello, the consultation response to the draft NDP is being considered in stages but will be reaching its conclusion soon. Meanwhile we have commissioned Consultants to carry out a Strategic Environmental Assessment and Habitat Regulations Assessment, as these have been requested by Cornwall Council, which will report in the next few weeks. Consequently the revised NDP will probably be submitted to Cornwall Council in the next couple of months, but a firm date is not yet available.

Steps were taken to inform as many people as possible about the NDP proposals, including leaflets to every household, press adverts, social media, drop-in exhibitions etc, but it was an impossible task to consult with all the landowners around the proposed development boundaries.

Please see your emails for a more detailed reply.

      Thank you.
